The Process  

The initial step for veneers at SmilEra Dental Studio is to create a treatment plan. The goal is to meet your functional and aesthetic goals. Once you approve the design, it typically takes two visits to complete the procedure. During the first appointment, your tooth or teeth will be prepared so that the veneer can be applied. This is necessary to make room for the shell to be properly placed onto the tooth. Without this step, the restoration would look bulky.  

Once the tooth surface is shaped to the proper size, an impression will be taken of the affected teeth. This mold will be sent to an outside lab where your final veneers will be crafted. In the meantime, temporary veneers will be placed to protect the prepared teeth. These sheets will remain in place until your permanent veneers are bonded onto the teeth.  

Permanent Dental Restoration  

You will return to our office in about one week after your permanent dental veneers have returned from the lab. At that time, your dentist will remove the temporary restorations and replace them with your new veneers. Now, you can enjoy many years of a beautiful and confident smile.
